Carbon copy of typescript of Wouk's Caine mutiny (c. 4, 3rd carbon). There are some handwritten corrections. There is an author's note after chap. 37 that chaps. 38 and 39 do not exist due to a numbering error by the author, and that this will be corrected in the published edition. The published edition has 40 chapters.

Herman Wouk is a prolific author and enthusiastic supporter of Jewish culture. Wouk was born in the Bronx on May 27, 1915 to Abraham Isaac and Esther (neeĢ Levine) Wouk, Russian Jewish immigrants. Wouk attended Townsend Harris Hall and continued his education at Columbia University, where he graduated with a B.A. with general honors in 1934.
